How are things if you connect your Stadia controller with your laptop by using the USB cable? Not the solution but a workaround.

Windows 11 is still pretty new... Lets hope it gets better there some strange things.

Having a weird issue on my Windows laptop on Chrome where ill turn my in game character and their direction will get stuck for 1-2 seconds.

Troubleshooting steps thus far:

Factory reset stadia controller

tested on two different stadia controllers and get the same result. This only appears to take effect if i enter the linking code rather than plugging it into the laptop

disabled the Stadia enhanced extension

ran game in incognito mode

reinstalled Chrome

I run two Ubiquiti AP lite units in a mesh configuration and im sitting right next to one of them and average 200-220 mbps when running speed tests. The only major change ive done recently is upgrade this laptop to Windows 11, but I dont feel like that should be causing this issue.

Any recommendations would be great.

Hi @diobrando,

It sounds like the controller switching either networks bands (ex: 2.4 to 5) or it switching ap it is connected to.

Since you have a ubiquity setup I suggest trying a new network that is available from only one of the aps to see if the problem still happens.

Makes sense. Unfortunately, due to the setup of my apartment, I dont have the ability to wire the farthest AP to my firewall for testing. The network is strictly a 5Ghz network, so i would agree that its probably trying to switch the AP in the other room. Maybe its where i happen to be in the room, but i havent had this issue for the last year, but maybe its a temporary issue.

There doesn't seem to be an issue when it's plugged in. I'm leaning more towards it being a windows 11 issue, but I guess we will see if it continues to be an issue going forward.
